The Hastings Way Forward Programme

Launched in May of this year, the Hastings Way Forward Programme is an internal development programme designed to identify and progress potential stars in our business.

Over 60 employees applied to be part of the programme with 11 being initially accepted.  This group will be supported with training to be able to grow and progress the shape and future of the company.

The group will undergo a nine month training programme involving workshops, development opportunities and in-house projects designed to enhance their skill set and prepare them for bigger roles in the future.

What is the Hastings Way?

The Hastings Way is a behavioural framework that enables leaders and individuals to measure not just what they do (the task) but how they go about achieving the task (the behaviour). The 5 values; brave, decent, together, accountable and driven, represent what is important to Hastings Direct in order to meet our objectives and clarify what we expect from our people.
